Judy has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember.  She took her first art lessons through the mail, from an art school in Minnesota, when she was in high school.  At Iowa State University, Judy was inspired by the well known watercolorist, Harriet Adams.  Since then, and after getting married to Stan Boyle, and raising four wonderful children, Judy got back into her art.
  In 1998, Judy had her first art show at the Sioux City Art Center.  Judy currently has her work on display in several galleries, and paints as often as possible.  She loves doing commissioned work,  but will not take it on, unless she feels that she can do it well, for her client. 
Judy paints in oils, watercolors, acrylics and pastels.  She paints mainly from her own photographs, and feels that some particular scenes warrant  watercolor, instead of oil, or vice versa.
