Phyllis Bennett resides in Sioux City, IA.  She received her early education in the public school system there.  A graduate of Morningside College in Sioux City,  Phyllis majored in elementary education and library science.  She is a retired librarian.

Phyllis works primarily in acrylics and inks, and displays regularly in the area.  Her work includes a variety of subject matter, including portraits. 
She has won many ribbons and her work can be found in a number of states.  Many of her pictures evoke childhood memories, touching the hearts of all who view them.  Phyllis has been a member of Siouxland Artists for many years .

A former president of the organization, she continues to contribute her time and talents.
