Randis
first recollection of drawing was sitting at a large desk her Dad built,
with two spindles, which carried the butcher paper from her grandfathers
Smith Packing Company. With one side for her, and one side for her sister,
the paper moved under wooden anchors and across the top of the desk, much
like winding the film on a camera. Randi
has recently returned to her passion for watercolor, and cant get
enough of it--so very ready to retire from her job! Randi experiments
with multiple subjects and styles, but really enjoys painting flowers,
especially roses. Painting is an adventure for Randi. Every time she picks
up a brush, it is truly a new adventure! Randi
has been a active member Siouxland Artists for two year. She first held
the secretary position and this year she was elect president of Siouxland
Artist. When the Galley opened Randi volunteered to take a position on
the board as computer tech and bookkeeper. Randi
is a positive thinker, energetic, and has loads of great ideas. We are
all looking forward to the day that she is able to pick up her paintbrush.
. . every day!! |
