Women Aware, sponsored
by United Way, a non profit organization, is hosting a Women of Excellence
Annual Dinner and award night in March 2009, at the Convention Center.
They are asking for art
work to be auctioned off at the event,
to raise money for
Women Aware.
If you haven't
participated in any of our community projects, this might be a good way to
"give back" to our community, considering Siouxland Artists is a non profit
organization, and this is one of the requirements!
Holiday Inn is
looking for artwork to display in their conference rooms over the holidays.
They are willing to let us sell the work if we would like, and may put a
price on our pieces. Please contact us by emailing us at
siouxlandartists@gmail.com
if you're interested.
If you are interested
in participating in any of our events or displays,
please let one of our officers know. This is also a wonderful way to
show our community the quality of the work that you create.
Be sure that what you
contribute is
original--not
necessarily original, meaning one of a kind, but that it's creation was born
from your mind rather than copied from some published material or another
artist, . . . i.e..,
plagiarized.
Plagiarism is wrong, as
well as illegal.
